I’ve just got back a holiday over in Orlando – and it was so good.

It got me thinking about what we can learn from that area of the United States, especially for tourist locations, and what we can do in the UK.

Yes there are policies in America that we will never adopt. It is part of our differences.

But even the basics, taking pride in the country. That’s not just about putting up a flag, but making the place clean and I mean clean. Coming back into Gatwick showed me how untidy the place is compared to going into Orlando International Airport.

Why should Gatwick look like that? If that’s what I’m seeing, then that’s what visitors are seeing.

There’s so much more I can go into.

Looking forward, I will be talking more about what I took away from it. I just wanted to update everyone on what I was doing. Perhaps I should look into a move to the US?

We can turn this country around and take pride in it. We can do it.
