Last week I brought forward that I would be looking at my trip to Florida and comparing it to the life here in the UK.
With the budget coming up this week, it could prove more difficult to our lives for living here in the UK. I really hope it doesn’t. I am after all a member of the Labour Party. The hope that the party brought is still there, but may be swept away very soon. The Tories ruined this country, unfortunately this Labour government isn’t bringing much of the hope back. I hope I’m wrong.
The thing I really don’t see is the eagerness to transform this country. The transformation that this country really needs.
I want to start with how clean it was. Yes we may not have seen the “real scenes” that some may highlight, but when you compare the tourist hotspots in Orlando compared to the tourist hotspots in the UK, you get a real difference.
There is a genuine feeling that they care about giving a high level of service. The cleanliness of an area is a massive sign of the respect that people show towards others and themselves.
I love this country, but that level is missing. It was missing from the moment we arrived back in the country. That’s not just what it said to us, but it’s what it showed to people arriving in the country – people that could be investing.
To grow this country and make it flourish again, we need to clean it up.
Pride in this country shouldn’t be about just putting up flags, but also making sure everywhere is clean and presentable.
Let’s put some pride back into this country and get it clean again.
Take the fear out that places are dirty or you can’t walk the pavements in case you stand in something.
Pride needs to be shown.
I believe the majority want this, we can do it.
