Let’s Pray for Peace – Middle Eastern War

It’s almost been a week since the USA and Israel led bombing of Iran and then the retaliation which brought more countries into the war.

There are many historic reasons and an ever constant changing picture in the region at the moment, so this won’t be a massive post.

It’s a tough situation that seems to demand the need for people to take a side on many fronts. But one where peoples views actually are divided not necessarily by their normal politically views.

We all surely want a world without war, where people can live freely and without fear of destruction.

I take the stance that I understand the need for Nuclear weapons as a deterrent, and this is going to sound very hypocritical. I also believe that certain countries shouldn’t be allowed to have them, or at least should be monitored very closely. Iran is one of those.

I agree with military action to keep the threat of an unsecure nuclear program at bay. I don’t agree with military action by foreign countries to directly change the leadership of a sovereign nation. They might help assist, but not directly impact the leadership.

Regime change is for the people of the that country.

I also agree with our Prime Ministers stance to not get involved directly. To protect our people and bases in the region.

I hope this war ends as soon as possible. I hope this isn’t an war that goes on for ages because of a lack of planning for what comes next.

Let’s pray that the civilians are kept safe. Let’s pray that the service men and women who are fighting for leadership far from the front line are kept safe.

Let’s pray for world peace.
