We, the United Kingdom, will always stand with the United States of America in their times of defence and protection.

What is happening in Iran is not about defence, they are attacking the country.

They were negotiating with Iran before attacking, and it’s becoming clearer and clearer every day that Iran was not posing an imminent threat.

We lost our men and women as they stood shoulder to shoulder with American troops and other allies in a war that was a result of the only time article 5 of NATO was made active. The time when America was attacked and needed protection.

I am always in favour of America. It remains one of the greatest (of course the UK will always be) countries in the world. But if they wanted us to fight with them, they should have consulted our government.

Why would any European country take part in this war. It is not only having a negative impact on our economies, but it’s also allowing Russia to earn money to fight against Ukraine through weakened sanctions.

America will forever stand the test of time. It’s people are too strong not to. It continues to be that beacon on the hill of optimism and passion. For the majority of us Brits, our parents, grandparents or other ancestors would have seen American troops walking the streets of this country during World War 2.

President Trump, we stand with America and love your country, but this isn’t a war we can take part in. This War needs to stop. You have made your point. The World needs to step up, but this war has no reasoning.

Please stop the War.
